The account manager serves as a trusted advisor, strategically aligning Lanter Delivery Systems with the client by arranging and leading Quarterly Business Review meetings and drawing resources through the company's operations team to address the client's issues, concerns, and requests. Duties include developing each client's overall strategic account management plan, including, but not limited to, account information, continuous improvement initiatives, relationship alignment, overall growth strategy, and annual goals with action plans.

Responsibilities

  • Display a positive attitude and provide courteous, friendly service to all internal team members and external clients by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Lanter Delivery Systems Non-Negotiables and apply the concepts daily.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge about and communicate customer goals, requirements, strategies, and service perspectives to the operations team.
  • Coordinate with appropriate internal colleagues to act as subject matter experts regarding customer contracts and assist with contract implementation and compliance.
  • Develop and conduct strategic quarterly business reviews to advance customer relationships; gather and analyze/summarize insights gained from review meetings and communicate findings to the leadership team.
  • Develop and propose business solutions that meet customer needs; resolve issues as they arise with the tools available before involving operations; escalate the situation, when necessary, by following company protocol.
  • Communicate with the customer as solutions are implemented and/or changes are made; keep customer updated regarding operations capabilities and provide explanations when needed.
  • Establish timelines, coordinate efforts by various contributors, and keep the process moving to ensure timely, quality, and winning proposal delivery.
  • Collaborate with the operations team and experienced account managers to gain critical operational knowledge and experience.
  • Calmly and professionally handle emergencies and/or crises; create an environment of empathy, objectivity, and confidence to allow opportunity for operations to figure out a solution.
  • Protect company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to client, team member, and proprietary company information.

Requirements:

  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.

  • Proven success in the accounts management field.
  • Proven success in business, transportation, supply chain, or other related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office program

This position requires up to 25% travel.
