Overview
The Corporate Initiatives Manager provides direction and oversight for large organizational initiatives that require extensive time, attention, and supervision to ensure successful development and completion.


Effective management of these initiatives requires facilitation of cross-functional and interdepartmental collaboration supported by effective communication channels for ensuring seamless connections at all levels, as well as alignment with organizational goals and objectives.


The role also serves in a support capacity for senior leadership, assisting in the planning and performance of numerous executive duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
The following list provides examples of the duties and responsibilities for this position in two main categories:
Oversight of Corporate Initiatives
• Organizational alignment and communication in support of IT projects
• Lead foundational cross-functional projects, identify issues and relevant stakeholders, gather requirements, specify proposed future state, and outline process for implementing plans and sustaining outcomes
• Ensure consistent messaging on projects that involve cross-functional teams
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with initiatives to ensure successful implementation.
• Support team member awareness and adoption of company policies and procedures, collaborating as necessary with Human Resources and other company support functions
• Develop and maintain a corporate calendar of events, initiatives, deadlines and other pertinent information that are relevant for all team members
• Promote internal events and activities that foster engagement and strengthen the company culture
• Monitor industry trends and best practices, solicit feedback from stakeholders, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in corporate initiatives and processes
• Ensure that initiatives meet quality standards and deliver the intended outcomes
• Manage the budget for initiatives, including forecasting and monitoring expenses
• Contribute to the development of the company's overall strategic plan by providing insights and recommendations based on initiative outcomes
• Identify and implement technology solutions to support initiative implementation and improve
• Address any issues or challenges that arise during the implementation of initiatives, ensuring they are resolved effectively
Executive Support
• Planning, tracking and management of executive projects
• Scheduling and preparation of materials for company board meetings
• Crafting important interdepartmental messages from senior leadership
• Serving as liaison between senior leadership and team members to facilitate open and constructive dialogue.
• Providing general administrative support

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Experience working closely with executive leadership preferred.
• 2 + years project management experience
• 2 + years industry experience preferred (Logistics, Supply Chain, or Consultant)
• Demonstrated leadership managing or influencing people
• Proven ability to create, implement and measure new processes
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience in change management is beneficial, as Corporate Initiatives Managers often oversee initiatives that require organizational change.
• Candidates should have experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
