The Customer Site Supervisor will be responsible for a team to ensure freight is handled accurately, produce on-time, error-free deliveries from customer distribution centers to Lanter locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead sorting staff to produce outbound shipments of freight to multiple Lanter locations
  • Train new staff at customer locations
  • Assist with direction and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Organize and distribute work assignments for sort team
  • Conflict and issue resolution management as needed
  • Manage daily end of shift reports as well as performance updates
  • Work closely on-site with customer and provide transparent communication at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Load/unload trailers
  • Sort and scan freight
  • Set up dock for daily outbound operations
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Working in outside weather conditions
  • Lifting 50+ lbs., bending, walking, standing.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years supervisory experience preferably in transportation, warehouse or related area
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Team player and solid communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel within the district is required
